Welcome Back  Sunday Is Sunday, September 7th.  The official start of Sunday School, Y.O.U. & Uniteens for 2008 - 2009 school year.  Come Join Us!

Dear Unity Families,

I am so excited to be starting my 10th year as the Unity of

Boulder's Sunday School Director. As many of you who know me,

children are my passion! Here at Unity we use an eclectic

curriculum for the children. Along with a wonderful literature

based unit of study from Unity Village, we take once a month to do

some study from the Children's Course in Miracles as well as using

"The Virtues Project" by Linda Popov as a guide for some virtue

lessons. I use so many different methods because I feel that it is

very important to recognize the different learning styles of the

children who are coming into our loving hands. I am a Waldorf

teacher at Shining Mountain Waldorf school which also influences

the curriculum a bit. Come down and chat with me if you would

like to learn more about what we are doing in the classrooms.

We have a wonderful staff of guardian angels who tirelessly and

lovingly volunteer their time to shepherd your children each week.

Stop in and get to know them, say hello, shake their hands and

please thank them for all they do and..... if you are so inclined, we

are always in need of substitutes. Please see me if you are able to

put your name on the sub list. The children LOVE it when their

parents step for a Sunday. The curriculum is very user friendly!

In love and light,

Mary Beth Fifer

Uniteens

Uniteens is Unity's youth group for 6th,7th, & 8th graders. We

meet each Sunday at 11:00 AM. Come and meet some cool

Uniteens and leaders at Unity.

Each year the group creates their own flavor through the

uniqueness of the group. This is an opportunity for you to be part

of a spiritual youth group, making new friends, sharing whom you

are while learning the Unity way. Through some fun activities on

Sundays and extra outside outings, you will feel more connected

with the group and want to be here!

Throughout the year, we will have fund raisers/bake sales,

create service projects to benefit the community, pizza parties,

watch movies and more.

One of our first service projects is to plan and create the

haunted house for the Sunday School Group. On our first outing

we will go to a Corn Maze. Expect to have fun on day long trips and

overnight gatherings.

I look forward to reconnecting with last year's group and

welcoming new Uniteens. If you have any questions please call

Theresa Nehemias at 303-440-6820

  Youth of Unity!

The Y.O.U. is looking forward to another eventful year.  This year will be all about service.  To kick the year off we will be sanding the playground equipment for the church children, so that it can be re-varnished and available for the children beginning in the fall. In addition to the usual fundraising regional rallies, we are planning several service projects planned for the year.  Sunday lessons will also be based on the idea of service.

We would love to ad new members this Fall to our already booming Y.O.U.   If you know of any teens (14 - 18) please encourage them to come on Sundays at 10:30 am downstairs in the Y.O.U. room.  We are also looking for loving responsible adults (age 25 or older) who would like to join our group as a support sponsor, please contact Hannah at (970) 581-0675

Sunday School Letter

Welcome friends, old and new. We have a wonderful staff of teachers who look forward to sharing the spiritual path with your children. Sunday School is staffed by trained volunteer teachers who are interested in spreading God’s love in the world. Bringing your children to Sunday School is, I believe, one of the most valuable things that you as a parent can do: helping children retain and develop their divine connection to the living Christ. The children of Unity of Boulder are truly making the world a better place, RIGHT NOW, simply by being the special people they are. Everywhere they go, they radiate their own light into the world. We honor you for making your child a part of this reality.

Blessings to you and your children,

Mary Beth Fifer
