Jack's Letter

Dear Friends,
On behalf of our Unity Family and the future generations to come, I thank you for your generous donations to our solar project.  I am happy to announce that we have reached our goal of $103,000 and we expect to be installing the solar panels along with our new roof in the spring.  Presently, the board of directors and I are carefully examining proposals from three different solar companies to see which one will provide the greatest benefits for our church.
As is the case with specific fundraising projects, people were so enthusiastic in tithing to the solar that they forgot about our regular operating expenses.  Thus, the income for December fell below our expenses by $9,227.00.  These expenses had to be taken out of our already depleted financial cushion.
At our solar meeting last Sunday the board of directors expressed concern, because our thin financial cushion is only enough to cover operating expenses for a month and a half.  Everyone in the staff is keeping operating costs as low as possible. I am relating this to you so you know the reality of the situation.  Unity of Boulder is a radiating center of the Christ light because its members have always provided for its needs.
      With Love
